Seduction is a fine art that some people are born with innate talents for. Others have to work a little harder. The “Great Game”, as it were, keeps us all wrapped around one another, constantly vying for affection and attention. What do you win? Well, the ‘prize” varies greatly. Sometimes it’s a fling. Sometimes it’s a short romance or a tryst. Sometimes it’s a lifelong partner. Sometimes it’s a series of bed-friends. Sometimes it’s “The One”. Sometimes it’s many “The Ones”.
Seduction isn’t necessarily always physical. Bear in mind that open, honest communication and an understanding of boundaries is the clearest way to establishing that connection. It doesn’t matter how “awkward” you are; honest, sincere communication will be the key.
But working up the confidence to do that is tricky; so we’ve compiled you a guideline based on Zodiac Sign, as sometimes the stars give us that little bit of guidance! Best of luck on all your endeavours, and always remember to respect the boundaries of your partners!
Aries (March 21st - April 19th)
Bear in mind that Rams prefer the direct, straightforward approach, they tend to be quite impatient creatures, and generally charge straight in. Subtleties bounce right off them - and unless you make it blatantly obvious that you're interested, they simply won't get the message.
Taurus (April 20th - May 20th)
Show a Taurus that you enjoy spending time with them. Spend a bit of time entertaining them and keeping their interest. You will find they will be charming, interesting, and interested in what you say. A Taurus can get a little too deep thinking about things and go on and on. Just interrupt and move on.
Gemini (May 21st - June 20th)
Don’t be too put off if the Gemini doesn’t respond enthusiastically to you in the early stages of your ‘campaign’: it is a frequently occurring character trait of the Gemini to be distant and a little cool. Don’t take any displays of aloofness to heart. Keep at them! In general, you do have to be something of a mind reader when it comes to the Gemini as they rarely give anything away.
Cancer (June 21st - July 21st)
Getting them talking can be tough. Cancers aren’t much help in keeping a conversation rolling, nor do they make a very eager audience for the antics of an attention hog. You’ll find they have a cautious and conservative view on many topics, and it’s best not to make too many assumptions. Sore spots can be many, and the Crab is a natural dissident from popular opinions.
Leo (July 22nd - August 21st)
Leo only has to think that they’re in charge; they’re fairly easy to tame, so long as they feel it was their idea. Dangling oblique challenges will taunt Leo to rise to the occasion…but be careful not to give them more to bite off than they can chew, or you might feel the temperature in the room chill by twenty degrees.
Virgo (August 22nd - September 21st)
The best way to attract Virgo is to be perfect. Failing that, however, be able to absorb “constructive” criticism and be attentive to his whims. Let his harsher needling roll off your back, or you’ll be in for a rough ride.
Libra (September 22nd - October 21st)
Lead Libra into a new realm of speculation, and the rapid-fire exchange of ideas can pass the night away with scarcely a notice of dawn. Nothing appeals to Libra quite so much as a dynamic meeting of the minds, and he’s not likely to take your body very seriously if he’s not impressed with what you pack between your ears.
Scorpio (October 22nd - November 21st)
Scorpio loves nothing more than an alluring mystery, so be enigmatic and flit in and out of their sphere of influence while waiting for them to pounce. They only insult people they like, so if they points their blistering wit at you, take the jibe with good humor and know that things are going well.
Sagittarius (November 22nd - December 21st)
When dating a Sagittarian the best subjects to talk about are outdoor sports and animals. If you have no knowledge or interest in these subjects ask them about their work, friends, and current events. Don't take the words coming out of their mouth too seriously because they aren’t. You won't be justified when you blame them for lying to you because they aren’t lying, they mean the things they say.
Capricorn (December 22nd - January 21st)
Under that gruff exterior, Capricorn is sorely in need of affirmation and will brighten up to a genuine compliment. False flattery, however, will get you nowhere, and you won’t find Capricorn responding to a blatant pick-up. Beware: the Goat does not like being hunted. Don’t expect a fawning groupie, however; the Goat is in it to win it, and a slighted Capricorn will not hesitate to butt you down the mountain.
Aquarius (January 22nd - February 21st)
The first thing you will need to demonstrate is that you are a person of principle. The Aquarius as a clearly defined ethical code, from which they will rarely, if ever, deviate. This code is likely to fly in the face of received wisdom but, however idiosyncratic it may be, it will be of great importance to them. They will want to see that you stick to your guns, even if they don’t personally agree with the principles you are espousing or defending. The important thing is that you have principles and that you are not easily swayed.
Pisces (February 22nd - March 21st)
A social butterfly and anything but constant, Pisces is apt to wriggle out of your net; but they’re also a sentimental fool, so grand gestures of romance can get them hopping aboard your boat. More positive connections can be made by frequenting art galleries, poetry readings, and animal rights rallies. Pisces are usually sensitive to the plight of animals, and will be genuinely moved if you rescue an unwanted pet from the pound or volunteer at a shelter.
